Knysna Yacht Company successfully launched their 47th custom-built 50-foot sailing catamaran, a Knysna 500SE (Special Edition) – SV-Catching Up.
The Knysna 500SE is a sleek sailing catamaran yacht, expertly designed by world-renowned naval architect Angelo Lavranos, who has been designing yachts for over 40 years. It is designed in a perfect balance between luxury, safety and practicality. The 500SE is the complete package, where the perfect finishes, ultimate comfort and amazing performance are all prioritized for the boat owner's complete satisfaction.
SV–Catching Up, the Knysna 500SE boasts amazing features including completely customized solar panels. The Whisper M-GV 2 4.3kw (24v – 150A) generator named Piccolo will be powering SV-Catching Up along with 8 Whisper ION Power Plus Lithium-ion batteries, which is the latest energy-saving technology by manufacturers Whisper Power and Solara.
Another special customization installed on the vessel is the Ambassador Marine rope stripper. The Stripper has been the market leader in protecting propellers from ropes, weeds, netting and other hidden dangers under the water’s surface. The Stripper increases the life and performance of your propeller, whilst still providing its excellent rope cutting capabilities.
The SV-Catching Up was officially launched and displayed at the Cape Town International Boat Festival.
